This is CRAZY!

Snow Day Dinosaur Dig

So here is a peek into what the kids did on their snow day besides watch movies and run around the house that is.

Moses got a dinosour digging kit for his birthday and this seemed the perfect occasion to dig it out.

It came with real tools and goggles and it took some chiseling to get the bones out (think little peices of stone and sand all over the kitchen floor)

Lancaster Be at Rest...

Room with a View
This morning I spent an hour walking around in the snow enjoying myself and taking some pics. These are some of my favorites. I love photography, snow, old farms, stone buildings and unplanned days off. Enjoy.

Blizzard Bliss

Umm...so about that cabin fever and my desire for spring-I guess God had other plans.
In all seriousness, I have actually enjoyed being snowed in as a family this weekend. I got a bunch of movies from the Library and Blockbuster and stocked up on food and we have been having fun eating, relaxing, reading, coloring, and of course watching movies. We have a fire going in our coal stove which makes the house warm and toasty. After the snow stopped we all went outside to play...even Hopey. It was fun and we are making memories. Here's a little peek into our day.

Our house-cold on the outside but warm inside

Moses and Daddy went for a walk to the end of the lane and back this morning in the middle of the storm before the plow came through. Moses walked over half way down our 1/4 mile lane through waist high snow -what a trooper.

How many kids can you fit into one sled?

I love this picture!

These are a few of my favorite things...

None of my other kids every had a stuffed animal or blankie...Hopey has both. It is so cute how she will carry or drag them around and snuggle with them when I lay her in her bed. This morning I gave her a bath and put her in a onsie and she was just acting so cute I thought I would snap a few pictures of her. She has been a part of our family for almost a year now. I can't imagine our family without Hope.

Cabin Fever...

Is it just me or is anyone else ready for spring? Even Moses who loves snow did not seem to have his usual excitement upon waking up to the white covered world...and he did not even ask to go out and play in it before school. I have just felt tired and unmotivated this past week...not really depressed just unenergized. I have found time to read which has been very relaxing but I am ready for SPRING. That being said we did have some fun this morning taking some pictures after we got Moses off to the bus following a 2 hour delay. Sarah was home sick due to a stomach bug (third kid to have it in the past week) but was feeling better by lunch. Hopey is learning to clap and wave and the kids love to help her practice her new tricks...
