Butterfly
"Little girls like butterflies, need no excuse"
So there is lots of things I could be blogging about-our week long vacation at the Outer Banks, our garden whose bountiful harvest as been keeping me on my toes, Silas learning to ride a bike, the dog days of summer that have made this un-air-conditioned farmhouse feel unbearable at times. But our computer is on it's last leg and moves at snails pace so rather than take 3 hours to post a few pictures i picked these two to celebrate Sarah's 5 years of life. She turned five last week and will be starting kindergarten in the fall.
These pictures are Sarah. Our little butterfly-she had just come in from picking tomotoes in the garden.
We love you Sarah. Happy Birthday. You bring life and excitement to our days. We pray you would always know the special place you have in our family.

Just a thought...
If there was a "must have" lists for mothers i think slightly behind the fruits of the spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness and self control) would be spot shot, antibacterial soap and chlorox bleach. All these things come in handy when dealing with throw up, diaharea, and the touching of dead birds. Just a thought.
more brotherly love
this summer has been good in forging the friendship of these two brothers. it used to be that sarah and moses were sidekicks but lately they are more like fighting partners so silas has become his buddy. i tell them all the time that God has given them each a buddy. i love watching these two guys together. they are so different from each other but are clearly brothers too. these pictures were taken on our father's day weekened get-away to ocean city, nj.
brotherly love
Being the oldest I always thought it would be cool to have a big brother to look out for me and protect me-introduce me to his cool friends ect. While that never happened it is cool to watch Moses be a big brother. Especially with Hope he is very tender and gentle and she looks up to and adores him in return.
