Pursuing a Dream

Some of you know our friends Shawn & Jeanette who recently bought & renovated a cafe in downtown New Bern. They asked Mark to display some of his photographs in the cafe. We were very excited about this opportunity and thought we would share some of the images with those of you who cannot come in person to see them!

Greetings from Emerald Isle

Greetings from Mark & Heather. This blogspt feels a bit overdue but we are both excited start it. Since relocating to Eastern North Carolina we had many great times together as a family! We want to use this blog as a way to keep you connected with us as well as share some of the great scenery and beauty that surrounds us here!


We live on Emerald Isle, which is on the southern most point of the Outer Banks. Our house is on the sound side of the island but less than a mile from the ocean! We are enjoying many winter days on the beach!
