Merry Christmas!

May the wonder of Christmas fill your hearts and home !
Blessings,
The Buckwalters

Note: These pictures are from a slide show nativity that the kids did at church! They had so much fun dressing up and learning the Christmas story. Sarah was Mary and the boys were shepherds. I was reminded again the wonder of the Christmas story...

Snowy Sunday Sunrise

Winter Wonderland...

The kids were so excited about the snow and they could not wait to go out and play in it. We attempted to go cut our own christmas tree Saturday morning in the snow (think romantical) but after 15 minutes of sitting in the freezing rain/snow waiting for the hayride to even start we decided to rethink our plan! We were wet and cold and close to metldown. So no Christmas tree but lots of fun in the snow!

All in a Day's Play

My Kids..

I was overcome with emotion looking at my three oldest kids sitting on the couch during our family movie night last evening. They are growing up so fast. As much as my days can be frustrating at times I really do LOVE these guys!

Moses-my little man

Sarah-my wild n' crazy girl

Silas- my sweeheart with his new chainsaw he got for his birthday!

Hope-my little pumpkin

Sisters

We love to dress up!

So we are a little behind in our posting but I just finally downloaded pictures from October off the camera. Here our my three musketeers on Halloween. We went to this Fun Fest at Sarah's preschool instead of traditional trick or treating. We had lots of fun. Mark was out of town that night so I took all four kids by myself...lets just say we all slept well that night! Here is my princess, superman, frog and well...baby!

Happy Birthday Silas Mark!

My little boy turns three today but he is not so little anymore. Just in the past two months he has grown up so much and now today he is three! This week was a BIG step for Silas as he gave up his nuks. We are still working on taking naps but he is doing a lot better than I thought he would! We even had a little nuk cutting ceremony!

Silas you bring so much joy to our hearts-you make us laugh with your crazy sense of humor and you make us smile with your tender heart. I love you bud! You are my special boy!

Silas being crazy!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

I found a shirt for Sarah at Goodwill that matches one I already had. She was just tickled pink to be "twins" with Mommy. Here we are are in our matching shirts...

Mood Enhancer...

Last week Mark came home from work early one day and decided to rake some leaves for the kids to jump in. I was in a bad mood when he got home and playing in the leaves was the last thing I felt like doing...but I ran and did a giant leap into the leaves and somehow my bad mood faded as I rediscovered some of the simple joys in life like playing with my kids in the leaves.

I love this picture...check out my girl's moves!

I also love this picture of my man and his kids!

Mommy's Little Helper...

I was doing some laundry today and I couldn't resist getting out the camera and capturing a few shots of my little helper. She loves the sounds in the laundry room and is fascinated by the dryer. She is getting more active by the day it seems. She started scooting around the house on her belly this past week and is getting quite good at getting around. No more setting her down and finding her in the same place I left her. I love this stage...and my little Hope!

Like Father, Like Son...

Moses woke us up early one morning asking for the camera so he could take a picture of the sunrise. This is what he captured...

Pumpkin Princess

I forgot this picture earlier...Here is Sarah at Funk's with the Pumpkin Princess...fun times!

Fall Fun..

We have been enjoying the fall weather and being outside. Mark has been traveling during the week so weekends feel extra special. We have taken hikes, gone fishing and built many campfires in the last couple of weekends. The kids and I also visited Funk's "Pumpkin Land" one day last week...it is funny how things appear different when you get older...but the kids had fun! Here are a few snapshots of fall...

A campfire night ...
and
My three sillies at Funk's...

We went fishing and hiking at Silver Mine Park (our new favorite place) and everyone caught a fish! The kids were loving it!
