a good story waiting to be written.

Two weeks ago we found out some unexpected news that we need to be out of our house by the end of the year. It took us by surprise but it was not unexpected to God. Some days I can feel the farmilar stanglehold of fear want to creep in and deflate my joy. It is right there just below the surface. Questioning, nagging, doubting the goodness of the future. And when something does not go right like not being able to find Silas's brand new sneakers five mintues before we have to walk out the door for kindergarten, I feel like I am about to explode.
I know that the story is not done being written. On one hand I can feel dread about the unknown future or I can be excited about how God is going to work this all out. I can chose panic or peace. Which one will I choose today?
I will believe God is writing something beautiful. I need to be patient and wait for the page to turn. All good stories have some twists and turns. I will choose to trust in peace eagerly anticipating the surprise ending.

I love a good story.
